Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.14-default I have an IMAP account with "load attachments on demand" enabled". I receive an email with a 6MB attachment, and read it. Then I press "v" to view the source of this mail. KMail begins downloading the *whole* mail (including attachment). I do not want that so I press cancel. However, the bottom right progress indicator *continues* to grow, indicating that KMail still downloads the mail. Only if I cancel that one as well, will the download stop. Suggested fix: make "v" only display the part of the mail that was actually being viewed (this is more logical IMHO), and make "cancel" in the download progress window actually cancel the download of the mail. Thank you :-)
I have to transform this to a wish. I won't change the behaviour that the complete mail is downloaded as this is the only way to correctly display the complete source. And canceling a background process with a keypress is a wish in my eyes. It's possible to cancel it (as with all other processes as well) with the progressbar so this is consistent.

Not OK. The point (and IMHO it's still a bug) is that you have to cancel the download *twice* - once the additional progress window, and once in the bottom-right progress bar. Pressing "cancel" once should cancel both downloads. IMHO.
You have a point ;-) Let me have a look at this.
What's the status?
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
