Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Form controls on pages flicker and disappear when you go back or forward to the page. This bug page is an example--go back and forward to and from this page repeatedly and look at how the form controls are drawn on the page. Form controls will be replaced with white rectangles before the page is replaced with the new page. When a new page is drawn over the last page, large form controls will flicker as they are drawn. This really detracts from the user experience of using Konqueror as a web browser.
This flicker is very visible when you create 2 identical tabs in konqueror and simply toggle between them.
I guess this sort of thing will be fixed with Qt 4's double buffering
Still I wonder it this has been fixed in the meantime in the 3.5 branch? Can you reproduce?
I can reproduce this with Konqueror 3.5.5 (but on a very old machine - 233MHz - nothing else availble here). It is only a very short flicker and occurs everywhere. Try google.com: go there, click back, click forward and the search-field blinks once
this is fixed in trunk.
