Description Tom Simnett 2005-04-08 04:23:32 UTC
Version: 1.8 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When i execute kmail --composer "recipient" -s "subject" -c "ccmailaddress" -b "bccmailaddress" only the composer window appears, but without any of the parts being filled in.

If i invoke kmail without the --composer option, the kmail window opens, but no new mail is formed.

Works fine here.
Comment 2 Tom Simnett 2005-04-08 15:53:53 UTC
am I missing a compile option?
Comment 3 Tom Simnett 2005-04-08 18:13:54 UTC
I've investigated this further, and the command works only when KMail is not
already running. I use KMail as part of Kontact, and it is permanently in the
system tray. However, for mozilla/firefox to launch it properly, the command
line should work properly too.

Sorry to keep adding to this, but a little further investigation into this bug
reveals that the error only occurs when Kontact has started as part of the
session. Quitting, and restarting Kontact manually has the desired affect,
but this is not correct behaviour.

I have not tested whether this occurs when KMail is in the session rather than
Kontact.

Works with KDE 4.3
