Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux I'm using kmail from HEAD, updated yesterday. I set up an account as disconnected imap. I then set up filters to move messages from my inbox to subfolders based on recipients. Now, after checking my e-mail (and having let the filters run for a half day), I notice that though the e-mails are transferred correctly to the subfolders, the messages are not marked as unread or new anymore. I went one further and added an extra step to also mark the message as unread as part of each filter, but this still has not worked correctly and my e-mails that are moved as part of the filter are marked as read when they shouldn't be.
I just tested it. And works fine for me. I add the filter: * Match all of the followin From - contains - foo@bar.com Move Into Foler cuenta/subfolder. x Apply this filter to incoming messages x on manual filtering. x If this filter matfches, stop processing here. Can You give us, the configuration of filter ? Maybe a strange combination generate a failure behaviour.
[Filter #0] AutomaticName=true ConfigureShortcut=false ConfigureToolbar=false Icon= StopProcessingHere=true action-args-0=.589074094.directory/.code-stuff.directory/kde action-name-0=transfer actions=1 apply-on=check-mail,manual-filtering contentsA=kde fieldA=<recipients> funcA=contains name=kde mail operator=or rules=1 This is from my kmailrc. Hm. It also seems that if I mark a message as unread, then copy it to another dImap folder (manually--without the filter), then it is getting marked as read when it's copied.
I am seing filter weirdness when exactly 1 (one) message is filtered into a folder, then it is incorrectly marked as read. Rather annoying since it is easy to miss it since it does not show up in any folder as unread and can be filtred into any of my 300+ folders
I've since figured out how to do server-side cpanel/exim IMAP filtering (YAY!), so this isn't as critical for me as it was originally (I've stopped using kmail's dImap filters). Still, it would be nice to have the buglet squashed or at least explained. =:)
I have the same behaviour here ... No more advances on this ? This is quite annoying. I have to remove automatic filtering for now, as sometimes I don't see some mails ...
Matt, can you check any Beta for that problem? I can't reproduce it on my systems, so I can need some assistance with this report.
This seems to be a subcase of http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104320 and check my last comment there.
Actually, it sure seems that this is a duplicate of bug #104320. I think it's okay to mark this as a duplicate of that.
