Description Wolfram R. Sieber 2005-04-01 10:39:33 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-2-k7

would be nice if the notes could be attached to apps/windows. - Currently they can be placed on a given location of the desktop only, but sometimes it's much more useful to have them in a specific app, and more, on a given location there, in the app.

The notes should mimic the behaviour of a window of the app itself, i.e. minimize/close when the app is minimized/closed, pop up when the app unminimized, and so on.

I don't require a note that can be attached to a specific location of a scrollable part of a window, say a given paragraph of a web page. But it would be fine, if a note could be placed relatively to the app window and then behave as if it were a part of that app. ... At least that should be possible for minimize/restore actions, if not as well for open/close of the application.

I just had the same idea. It would be a cool feature for KNotes...

I'd like this feature, but also to be able to stick notes to specific web pages and documents.

For example, I'd like to create a stickynote that only appears when I visit
Gmail.com, and another than only appears when I visit Flickr.

I'd also like stickynotes to stick to specific openoffice documents. So the
notes only open when I open that document.

Likewise, I would like to be able to attach stickynotes to an applications.
For example, to have a stickynote that always opens whenever I launch firefox,
and another that always opens when I launch openoffice writer.
