Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux I'm using Konqueror on SuSE 9.2 and viewed a html-page edited on a windows system, so it is iso 8859-1 encoded. The document was located on a UTF-8 filesystem in a directory named with german umlauts. Konqueror did not display the image on this page and all links were not working [everything linked relatively or it was in the same directory]. I finally found out that the image and the links are working if I force Konqueror to view the page as utf-8 (but then the umlauts on the page are not displayed correctly). -> Konqueror should calculate the absolute links by the encoding of the filesystem, not based on the encoding of the file. [Firefox, for example, works fine with this]
I don't know why my KDE version is not shown above - I'm using KDE 3.4.0 final
