Version: 0.10 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages I'm using Kopete 0.10, and I can not find a button to start a new conversation with someone who is not on my Buddy List. This is a very useful feature. I'd like to see this added in future releases of Kopete. It's very annoying to have to go through the process of adding someone I only intend to talk to once, especally on services like Yahoo. Thanks!
What protocol are you talking about ?
at the very least aim and if my memory serves msn as well. starting a chat with people not on your buddy list is impossible. oh and Compman you might want to vote for your wish.
illogic-al:Thanks, I put 10 votes on there... I'm assuming the 100 allowed is global, not just for this wish... don't want to waste them all... Oliver: It's not protocol specific, I can't find a button to start a convo with someone not on my buddy list for any protocol.
On MSN, this is possible => right click on the MSN account incon in the statusbar => start a chat ...
Ah, well there is still no way to do it on AIM or Yahoo...

Would this work with Jabber? Pavel
Any plans to fix this on AIM?
nope, not at the moment. That's not to say that I won't swoop in at some point and just implement this out of the blue. I generally never make plans when it comes to fixing bugs/implementing wishes, because i usually end up never keeping them. People then get annoyed, naturally, since i said i was going to fix it but i didn't, and then you know how the rest goes. :)

This is the same as a previous wish - unfortunately we don't sweep bugs.kde.org for duplicates very often. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 64162 ***
