Version: 0.10 (using KDE 3.4.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo Hardened Linux 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7) OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.11-hardened I put in a (wrong) password for an account which contained a |, and Kopete went crazy trying to connect forever and occasionally throwing up vague error windows. I replaced the | with an I and all was well. This has happened on a few different machines now...
do other clients allow pipes in passwords? If not, then we'll need to add something to the password validation. The part about endless reconnection attempts is possibly related to #100064 and maybe #101626. (Will reconfirm when I get infos about pipes in passwords)
until i find out more about what characters are allowed in ICQ passwords, this is the same as 101626 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 101626 ***
