Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: FreeBSD Ports Compiler: gcc version 3.4.2 [FreeBSD] 20040728 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -march=athlon OS: FreeBSD If you extract files from a ZIP archive with Konqueror and there are some CRC errors, Konqueror ignores this. It extracts the (corrupted) files from the ZIP archive without are warning.
Can you attach a sample ZIP file with such a CRC error?
Created attachment 10491 [details] Sample file with CRC error Simple ZIP file with CRC error. A text file with the text "hello" was compressed and after this the ZIP was modified (changed hello to Yello in zip-file). After this unzip warns with "bad CRC", but Konqueror extracts the corrupt text file without a warning.
I don't why the attachment filename is attachment.cgi, but it is the zip file.
To comment #3: it is normal. KDE Bugs handles attachments through attachment.cgi.
Even ark doesn't display any error. It happens on GNU/Linux too.
it is still a problem with Ark, i just extracted a file, and ark extracted half the content and finished without showing an error!
I can still reproduce this bug with KDE Frameworks v5.48 on KDE Neon Developer Edition, reassigning to kio-extras.
