Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Steps to reproduce: 1. File / Open 2. Open a mbox-file Result: "The file contains multiple messages. Only the first message is shown." Expected Result: being able to view all messages
mbox kioslave can list messages of an mbox-file. Probably kmail can call the KIO slave to handle mbox-files when it detects that the file contain multiple messages.
KDE 3.4.3 still has this bug. The navigation buttons: previous, next message could fix this bug. I hope someone will add them in next KMail. I must place such joke on elevator: "This building has 20 floors. The elevator only goes to the 1st floor".
This (simple?) feature is still not implemented in KDE 3.5.6-4.fc6, KMail: 1.9.6 (kdepim-3.5.6-6.fc6) I have emails for more than ten years back, but I don't want to push them all to my IMAP server. So it would be nice to have an archive in some file structure that would be reasonably easy to read from within KMail, or by clicking the messages from within Konqueror. This is not possible to do with such mbox-files that contain multiple emails. As for the mbox kioslave mentioned in comment #1, the kioslave does not list the subject of the email, and is therefore not really useful - but I might have missed some settings. I used "mbox:/var/tmp/read-mail" to read the mbox file stored I had there.
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
