Description Dominik Karall 2005-03-19 17:32:23 UTC
Version: 2.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

It's impossible to create a playlist named "artist" (without quotes) when the mp3 tag artist is set correctly to the artists name. I think the reason is, that the playlists are identified by their name and every "virtual playlist" in the collection tree is also handled as a playlist.

So in my case, I have a playlist "artist" in the collectionst tree, but want to create an own playlist with the artists name. The new playlist has now the name "artist (1)", when I delete (1) again by renaming, it's renamed to "artist (2)".

Maybe the playlists should be identified by a new ID. Or the collection playlists shouldn't be treated as "real" playlists.

Yes, this is a side effect of the way the Tree View playlists are implemented.
