Description jos poortvliet 2005-03-17 09:57:18 UTC
Version: 0.10 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.11-default

Hi guys!

You did a great job with kmldonkey, really cool! why not release a 1.0 - maybe after a UI review from open-usabillity?

anyway, that's not the request I have... I tried the mldonkey:/ KIOslave today, and got an idea - what if it could search? if it could, we could search mp3's from within amarok, for example.
so I submitted
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101671

now I dunno if they will implement it (altough I think its likely) but at least the search support would be cool :D

It would be pretty cool. :)

well, someone is now working to enable amarok to use its audioscrobbler function to show albums other ppl listen that you DONT have (as opposed to the current implementation that shows the songs in your collection). hopefully, a connection between that and (k)mldonkey(://) will make my dream possible :D

anyway, thanx for taking up the job!

i'd say the new KIOslaves architecture and Strigi & stuff can be of help here?

at moment amarok not support KIO slave at all :(
