Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11 If I reply on a mail (on IMAP server) with an attachment, KMail first retrieves the complete mail, including the attachment, which might take a lot of time and then composes the reply-mail including the quoted original text, but without the attachment. That last part is correct, I don't need the attachment in the reply, but I'd prefer not to download it as well...

It's not a bug but a safety thing to make sure we have all information. It should be possible to change that behaviour but I see this as a wish.
