Description Michel Nolard 2005-03-02 20:02:37 UTC
Version: inconnu (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-meg-0.6

Hi !

The progress dialog of KIO is quite unreadable : it takes full screen size, the interesting informations are on the extreme right side, ...

I was thinking to a "soft dialog" while seeing Kopete's soft pop-up's and thought that there could be a cool way to display things using such a soft popup and an XSL style sheet to structure display accordingly.

Based on this idea, there should be an easy way to represent data without having to scroll an hyper-wide and unreadable window which appears where it is not waited ;)

My two cents ...

The UI is totally different (and much better) in Plasma 5.
