It is a new service but more importantly the text related to this is being dropped, so if you say hello using an icon the kopete user misses the message.. I have added a new handler to the message handler to deal with this bug Committed revision 1077426.
Hello from the KDE Bugsquad! Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete. Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
