Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.10-default Smoth scrolling should have configurable scroll speed and delay on Konqueror settings module.
why? to clutter the interface?
I'm aware of the shift key to slow down smooth scrolling, but IMHO it would still be good to choose the scrolling speed to be able to syncronize it to the user's taste, especially in slow PCs wich may slow down too much the smooth scrolling effect. Of course it would be configurable in an "advanced" tab inside "Web Behaviour" or "Apearance" configuration modules for Konqueror. y the way, "Web Behaviour" and "Apearance" could very well be merged into just one module, now that's uncluttering the inteface... ;) Which takes me to the thanking of all who managed to get almost all kcm modules to fit (without the need to scroll down/right) in a maximized Kcontrol window at 1024x768 resolution. But of course you're "the man", you have the last word about this wish :).
I party agree :-) Smooth is auto? What delay? I would opt for speed and acceleration.
Smooth scrolling is a hack/patch applied by Suse , it's not part of standard KDE. http://en.opensuse.org/Submitting_Bug_Reports http://ktown.kde.org/~binner/distributor-patches/SUSE/10.1/kdelibs3-3.5.1-47/smooth-scrolling.diff
