Description disclosed 2005-02-12 09:16:51 UTC
Version: 0.9.91 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

scenario:

1. try connecting a jabber account.
2. the connection times out, and a message says:
There was an error in the protocol stream: The stream timed out.
3. Click OK on the message.
4. The jabber account icon flashes, indocating that it tries to connect again.
5. Right click the jabber account icon and select Go Offline.
6. wait some time.
7. the message as in 2. reappears. then it loops between from 2.

getting all the messages is annoying after 5 times.
suggested resolution:

make a checkbox on the message that states:
do not display this message again.

or:
if the connection fails and a user selects Go Offline, then no more connections should be tried until the user selects Go Online again.
