Description Matt Cahill 2005-01-24 05:49:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Considering how polished the UI of KDE is, I'm surprised that an app such as knewsticker is unable to have a transparent background. Eye-candy? Yes. But still...kinda sucks that it doesn't offer transparency, for something that's supposed to be a seamless module.

It is indeed weird that KNewsTicker does not support using transparent background in the applet.

Twenty votes for this feature.
Comment 6 Daniel Aleksandersen 2007-03-06 21:14:18 UTC
I am using KNewsTicker on a stand-alone panel, ticking news on the top of my screen. The ticker panel would look much better with a little transparency, and it would not feel so space intensive.
