This has been fixed in recent versions of KDE, but it got lost on KDE 4. Please, we need the administrator mode to come back!!!! Workaround: to run systemsettings as root This looks like a duplicate of Issue 151669 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151669 I want this feature too, because it is a bit annoying to close system-settings and rerun as root with kdesu :( *** Bug 417208 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** > Please add a system administrator mode that allows you to change system-wide settings as easily as user specific settings. As a general concept this isn't going to happen. I'll make this report about your specific use-case. |
