Description Arpit Sud 2005-01-04 12:53:57 UTC
Version: 0.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: I Don't Know
Compiler: gcc 3.3.4
OS: Linux

i am using Knoppix 3.6 (based on Debian 1:3.3.4-7) installed on the hard disk. the KDE and everything else came along with it.
ksokoban is my favourite and i would like to thank whoever has created it, but here's a little problem.
in order to reproduce the problem u can do the following:

Add "ksokoban" to the Panel from the Add->Application Button->Games->.......
launch it from the icon on the panel.

the program will start correctly but no place for it will be assigned in the Taskbar. you can play the game normally, there is no problem in that.

when you close the ksokoban window it will pop up a message box saying "Can't find /usr/games/ksokoban'. press Ok and everything is normal.

but there is another thing also, if while playing you minimize the ksokoban window, the all the panels(i.e. top, bottom all) will stop responding and as there is no button on the taskbar for ksokoban you cant get the window back.
the keyboard and mouse will work properly, still u can use all the shortcuts. u can logout safely and then login again with no problem.
The game ksokoban when launched from the Kmenu, doesnt create such trouble.

Such problem occurs with other games also that begin with the letter K (i.e. the games that come as part of KDE). Other non-KDE games when launched from panel, do not create such problem.

i have tried it in both as root and non-root user. under both circumstances it creates such problem.
if you are able to correct this problem, just mail me(if you can and wish to do so) explaining in a general manner what had been causing this problem, as i am interested to know to know the cause of this problem.

I believe this problem might be either in the KDE panel or the Debian packaging.
