Please specify the KMix version you are using. Thank you for your reply... how can I know which version I am using, it crashes when I try to open it. --- Christian Esken <esken@kde.org> wrote: > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug, or are watching the reporter. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95877 > > > > > ------- Additional Comments From esken kde org > 2004-12-27 19:19 ------- > Please specify the KMix version you are using. > Qt: 3.3.3 KDE: 3.2.3 KMix: 2.0.1 --- Christian Esken <esken@kde.org> wrote: > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug, or are watching the reporter. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95877 > > > > > ------- Additional Comments From esken kde org > 2004-12-27 19:19 ------- > Please specify the KMix version you are using. > OK, thanks for the feedback. The original bugreport showed "using KDE KDE 3.3.2", but obviously this is not true. The bug that you described has already been fixed in current KMix versions, like those shipping with KDE3.3.2. Thus I am closing this bug report. Chris *** Bug has been marked as fixed ***. Hint: There is a workaround for the used version: Open the KMix configuration dalog, select "Dock into panel" (if it doesn't help, also "Enable system tray volume control"). This works for some people. *** Bug 95458 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I cannot open KMIX to do as you suggested because it crashes as soon as I try to launch it. How can I upgrade to the newest KMIX? Quit KMix (CTRL-q) and use an editor to edit .kde/share/config/kmixrc Change the values of the lines AllowDocking and TrayVolumeControl like this: AllowDocking=true TrayVolumeControl=true If it does not help, you are probably lost and should upgrade by downloading a new KDE version from http://www.kde.org . |
