I know that the proxy settings will let you add hosts that will bypass the proxy server settings. It would be really useful if there was a tick box that allowed the bypass of the proxy server for the local network.

There is actually no way to bypass an entire subnet of hosts using the current system anyway. You have to add each IP separately. This feature would be very useful.
