Description Martin Piskernig 2004-10-06 12:00:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I want to use google.at instead of google.de when using the shortcut "gg:" so I go to the web shortcut dialog in Konqueror's settings and change the URI of the gg entry to google.at. It looks as if the change was made (when you reopen the gg dialog it is still google.at) but when I click OK for the settings dialog the gg entry is back to default google.de. Starting a new Konqueror instance didn't help. It seems to switch back to default settings immediately when I click OK.

Works for me .. I have changed from google.com to google.co.in

I didn't believe that it only happens to me so I asked a friend to try it out and he observes the same behaviour. And then I suddenly thought of an i18n issue - and, really, after changing KDE language to English I can change the google.com to google.at! But when I switch back to German it always shows google.de and ignores other URIs.

So I reopen this.
