Description Christoph Wiesen 2004-09-04 18:35:09 UTC
Version: 1.10 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-9)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7

Maybe it would be possible for KAudioCreator to provide a simpler front end to configure Lame and OggEnc command line parameters. Right now there is a dialog that gives the command line (don't remove it) - it would be nice if there were some dropdown lists, buttons and text fields to set the most common options for these encoders.
So that a normal user could change the bitrate of the created mp3s / oggs without knowing lame/oggenc's command line parameters. For lame there could additionally be a drop down lists with it's presets and a short explanation for each of them.

Might make a nice "Junior Job" wouldn't it? ;)

(Unfortunately I'm not really a programmer)

Soon KAudiocreator will use audiocd dialogs for its configuration which are fun gui based.
