when open a file in a smb condivision ex:
smb://domain\user@servertwo/Web$/dir1/

next time recall this url the system lost the $ it remember:
smb://domain\user@servertwo/Web/dir1/

you're talking about "recent documents"? Or what do you mean "recall"?

in the open window in the top where select last open directory

Is the behavior same in Kate/Kwrite, other KDE applications or you just 
see it in Quanta?

In that case this is a bug in the KDE libraries (KFileDialog??)
