Sentry Crash Report:

Description Robert Entner 2004-08-20 11:20:09 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-243-default

When I press Alt-F2 to open the "Run Command" dialog it always opens on the virtual desktop where I started it for the first time in the actual session. Not as expected on the virtual desktop I am just working on.

This also happens with a fresh ~/.kde installation.

In KDE 3.2.3 the dialog opened on the current virtual desktop.

Happens with me too. Earlier bugs on this from loooong ago reported this to be a Qt issue, but I believe the latest Qt libs are installed.

Same binary release, tho (SuSE 9.1). Mayhaps SuSE hasn't released the correct Qt version?
Comment 2 John T. Ellis 2004-08-20 17:35:45 UTC
FYI, the SuSE-released packages for Qt are version 3.3.3.
Comment 3 Ralf Hemmenstaedt 2004-08-21 19:33:38 UTC
I can confirm this bug on SuSE 9.0 and 9.1. It makes KDE 3.3 unusable since I need the dialog box on the current desktop.
