Does your distribution use subfs or hotplug? (as SuSE 9.1) If it does konqueror might not be able to tell that the path is on a removable device. > cat /etc/fstab /dev/hdb3 / ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hdb2 /boot ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2 /dev/hdb4 /home ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2 /dev/hda1 /windows/C vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002, iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/hda5 /windows/D vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002, iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/hdb1 swap swap pri=42 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 /dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid, nosuid, nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs fs=floppyfss, procuid, nodev, nosuid, sync 0 0 > cat /proc/mounts rootfs / rootfs rw 0 0 /dev/root / ext3 rw 0 0 proc /proc proc rw 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs rw 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0 tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs rw 0 0 /dev/hdb2 /boot ext3 rw 0 0 /dev/hdb4 /home ext3 rw 0 0 /dev/hda1 /windows/C vfat rw,nodiratime,nosuid,nodev,noexec,gid=100,fmask=0002,dmask=0002,codepage=cp437 0 0 /dev/hda5 /windows/D vfat rw,nodiratime,nosuid,nodev,noexec,gid=100,fmask=0002,dmask=0002,codepage=cp437 0 0 /dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder subfs ro,nosuid, nodev 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs rw,sync, nosuid, nodev 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy vfat rw,sync,nodiratime,nosuid,nodev,uid=1000,gid=100,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=cp437 0 0 > df Filsystem 1K-block Använt Tillgängl Anv% Monterat på /dev/hdb3 51613048 19526104 29465136 40% / tmpfs 258244 20 258224 1% /dev/shm /dev/hdb2 1035692 38536 944544 4% /boot /dev/hdb4 65052868 25974104 35774196 43% /home /dev/hda1 22504048 7082240 15421808 32% /windows/C /dev/hda5 22504048 2767648 19736400 13% /windows/D /dev/fd0 1424 0 1424 0% /media/floppy Yet another version confirmation. I'm experiencing exactly the same as described by reporter in KDE/Konqueror 3.3.1 See my comment here for detail procedure to reproduce it: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37780#c133 Do you still suffer this problem in more recent kde versions? This bug may be related somehow to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78322 Still exists. Tried in Konq 3.5.8 which I had at hand, using steps from Comment #2 I could reproduce the same problem as before. On KDE 4 the navigation panel doesn't exists anymore in konqueror. All reports about file management mode reported against KDE 3 (konqueror) has been closed: konqueror in KDE 3 is no more developed and mantained. All bugs and wishes which could be interesting for Dolphin in KDE 4 (the new KDE file manager) has been collected into a specific list. Please try the new file manager before request new features and report bugs. Before submitting new reports check carefully the already opened KDE/Dolphin reports in order not to add duplicates. Many thanks. (In reply to comment #5) > On KDE 4 the navigation panel doesn't exists anymore in Konqueror. This issue may, or may not, have been resolved in KDE-4. HOWEVER, you are in error when you state that the Navigation Panel does not exist on Konqueror (in KDE-4). If the problem still exists in KDE-4, please file a new bug report against KDE-4. @James: from your first comment: "You can mount devices with the Navigation Panel and they will unmount in some cases" Now in konqueror you cannot mount/umount anything from any panel in the sidebar (instead you can do it with dolphin, but that is the places panel). It is true that it has don't be removed, but it has the subpanel used for mounting/umouting. Anyway the bug is not reproducible in KDE 4 :-) |
