When I set 
   "short folder list" and "preview pane next to message list" the pane is still displayed bellow the folder and message lists. I'd rather would like to see the message list below the folders and next to them the preview pane.
A fully draggable panels would be obvoiusly the best solution I think. This way everybody could create a view he/she likes the most without complicated settings.
