*** Bug 84156 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This problem is worse in 1.9. My interval mail checks now take about 5 minutes with the mail server on the LAN! I used to have the mail check interval set to 5 minutes, and when I upgraded to version 1.9 it checked for mail almost continuously. I have had to reduce the mail check interval, and now I am less responsive to mail messages. I guess I need to swap back to imap rather than cachedimap. This appears to be the only significant flaw in what I regards as the words best email client. *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Thank you for your feature request.
