Description Till 2004-04-20 21:41:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages

KGhostview generates thunbnail previews always in portrait orientation. It stretches the landscape oriented paper in vertical directionto fit portrait-size preview images. Even for PDFs whose orientation is recognized correctly.
hope this gets fixed, although it's not severe.

Since the status of this bug is still UNCONFIRMED: I found it, too, on KDE Version 0.20 (KDE 3.3.2, (3.1)) / Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-1-k7 / gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-6).

I didn't notice any stretches since in my case the program was showing a source code (that doesn't look much different in landscape or portrait view).
Comment 3 Till 2005-07-19 14:10:15 UTC
I just checked and it's still there in KGhostview distributed with KDE 3.4.1..
Comment 4 Till 2005-09-09 19:25:12 UTC
KGhostview in KDE 3.4.2 still doen't fix it. But what about KGhostview anyway? is it dead? Is KPDF its successor (or oKular)?
I think I will close this bug some time in the future, if there's no reaction...

This works fine in Okular.
