*** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** I did some research on this topic and I found this on http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=94040985829867 > To configure it edit [RecentDocuments] in kdeglobals. The keys are: > UseRecent=bool #enables or disables recent menu support (default true) > MaxEntries=num #maximum recent documents (default ten) I have not tested it, because I do not use this feature, but maybe it works ;) Thanks for the suggestion. But I tried it and it does not seem to work, at least with kde 3.5.8 : I added in kdeglobals : --------- [RecentDocuments] UseRecent=true MaxEntries=20 ------------ Not only it did not work, but it broke the recent documents management. Maybe, some field names have been changed, since the mentioned link http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=94040985829867 is quite old (1999 ? It would be nice to have this feature in Kickoff in 4.x Kicker is currently unmaintained, you can look to your distribution for help, however. Allow the user to configure the number of recent documents that Krita remembers. Settings / Configure Krita / General / Miscellaneous / Recent Documents Or perhaps better Settings / Configure Krita / General / Sessions / Recent Documents This would affect the file menu and the initial work space which also shows recent documents when none are loaded. This is possible in KDE applications, as the Kate editor allows the user to define the number of recent documents. KDE3 is no longer maintained. If you still see bugs in Kicker, please open a new bug report. Thanks. |
