This work is in progress.. see and really is a Qt 'bug' http://www.kde.gr.jp/~daisuke/immodule_for_qt/ImmoduleForQtDocs.html see here for more info. Yay! i've been painfully using Korean, Japanese, and English in kde since 2.x.
Can't wait for it to be working correctly :)

Isn't this problem be solved since a couple of years? Shouldn't we close this report? @Micah: could you try the new KDE 3.5.9 and KDE 4. I'm not expert about multiple input methods.
