Description Andrey Cherepanov 2004-03-22 12:02:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

"Open with..." command grops down dialog for program choose. But I cannot choose program by it's command typing.
There was great feature in KDE 3.1.x - I can type for example, 'gi' and gimp label is shown. But there isn't such feature in KDE 3.2. Where is it?

I agree with you.

The input field should act as a filter for the tree view.
Comment 2 George Goldberg 2008-09-08 18:02:16 UTC
I'm working on reimplementing this feature in KDE trunk at the moment. I've got it working except for a couple of minor bugs, and will get a patch off to kde-core-devel once those are gone.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.
