Tackat recently reminded me of this one and a short discussion with the usability folks who happend to be present showed that KMail might indeed be unintuitive here. I'll try to look into this. *** Bug 85668 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have exactly the same problem. It disturbed me a lot while begining to use KMail. I got a "New mail" notification, but no mail appeared. It's because my messages list is big and KMail doesn't scroll to the new messages. I have most recent mails on top. I vote for the bug. I've checked this with KMail from KDE SVN r881890 (to be in KDE 4.2), which has a new messages list view from GSoC. When my view is scrolled to top and new messages arrive the view still isn't kept scrolled to top to view the newest messages. This feature request is still valid for KMail 2 Reassigning to kmail2 |
