Related issue: Formatting that immediately proceeds punctuation is not recognized, either. For example: *word*. /word/. _word_. This is on KNode 0.10.2 with KDE 3.5.3. I think that this probably goes with this bug, since this bug is about the visual display of these emphasized words. If it does not belong here, please let me know and I can file a new report. Hello!
