Description Amit Shah 2003-12-22 13:24:05 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.0

browsing samba shares via smb://workgroup asks for username-password for each machine and each folder that's been shared. Asking passwords for each machine is okay, but for each folder, once the username-password is given once, is too much.

Also, can't the username-password combo be stored once entered? Or a default one given for a given workgroup?

Yes, I use KDE 3.2 and the problem isn't solved, yet. Now there is no checkbox to "keep the password". Every action I do on the other machine prompts me for a login. When I want to copy a file frome the share, I get an error that the connection is broken... this way I cannot work! Please fix it. :-) Thanks
