Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2003-11-30 00:17:47 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

Please Open Kmail or type "mailto:abc@abc.com" to get kmail new message window.

You can see the Status bar is more informative and having a docked look, which is better than konqis flat look.

I want a docked look of status bar in konqueror like in Kmail and other apps (smb4k). and status bar should have 3-4 sections for different type of output like:

1. Message (where connecting, resolving, page loaded messages)
2. Size (size of page)
3. Progress bar
4. Secure (ssl LOCK icon) etc.

thanks.

Yes, I think we could get rid of the somewhat nonstandard spinner (nonstandard to KDE), if we had a more informative statusbar.

Sorry for the negative remark, but If you choose "Redmond" style, you can see that the status bar looks a bit awkward.

Not only is the status bar ugly and different from other KDE applications, it's also HUGE. On widescreen displays horizontal space is free, but vertical space is valuable real estate.

Not an actual duplicate, but this problem is discussed also at #66742.

this seems *slightly* outdated
