Description Joseph Schiller 2003-06-01 02:40:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

While creating additional users on Knoppix 3.2 5/3/03 release featuring KDE 3.1.1, when I tried to make changes to user name, I am not able for example to correct name spelling, which happens often enough for new users and system admins, the KUser application crashes. When I restart application, I realize no changes have been made since the last save, and of course, I am not able to delete user. Since I cannot modify the user name, I tried to delete user and add new one all over again. I tried both, selecting radio boxes to delete /home directory for user, and without selecting, but behavior is the same. KUser just crashes.

I have been logged in as root all along. I would understand application crashing, if
anyone except root was attempting to make changes.
