Description Martin Roos 2003-05-23 10:20:52 UTC
Version: 2.2 (using KDE 3.1.9)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-ck6-autovm2

There is no possible way to remove the BOLD
attribute from the php syntax highlighting no matter
what the choices a user makes. I only get rid of bold
when i choose the italic style, but i can't keep my
variables in italic , it's impossible to work this way !
please someone look up what the heck is going on there
it also claims that the default style checkbox will be unchecked if i change anything in the settings ... but
as i see it , it just doesn't work that way, also the apply
button doesn't turn active in any possible way ...

 help help help ?

This is CVS HEAD. Expect kate to be under development.

Fixing the dialog/handling of the attributes are on my TODO, I hope to get
started this weekend.

I have fixed the list views to use the correct font/colors again.
I can set colors, but not other attributes, I'm going to try fix this later today or (more
likely, considering my calendar) in the following days.

could somebody again take look at that ? have not the time to work into the code of
 that atm ;)

Comment 6 Anders Lund 2003-07-26 13:23:12 UTC
I have been - am - looking at it, but it is not easy, because there is no real support for
changing the colors in the highlight (well, no real good support at least), and the
KateAttribute object is not designed to make this easy either. And the dialog dates
back from before the KateAttributes.
So, don't rush me!

sure ;) a longer time taking but right fix is much better than a rushed fast quick hack,
take you the time you need, just wanted to know if somebody is working on that ;)
(same for bug reporters: that fix will take some time, wait a bit ;))

I have some problems with it also, (I know this is cvs, so I can not exspect for it to
fully work) mostly i'm not able to set some of the colors
in the php syntax, if I for example click to change the "PHP String" color, I can
change it but the "Apply" button is still greyed out after changing it - like it's not
aware that I just made a change.

This is from the kde3.2 alpha1 version.
