Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.13mdk

I love the tabbed browsing. I often have many tabs open and have grown used to using Ctrl-w to close the tab. My complaint is this: When I have only one window left (no tabs, at all, I guess) and I want it to go away I press Ctrl-w and it doesn't go away.

This startles me, cause I've gotten so used to the page disappearing, then I blink and say "oh yeah, when it is the last window, use Ctrl-q".

Or sometimes I get so used to ctrl-q that I use it instead of Ctrl-w and then I'm startled by the query about closing multiiple tabs.

I would like just one keystroke that always closes the current page. If it is the last page, then bye-bye konqueror. I can always get another.

Of course, some will disagree, so I guess I really want an option "Close Current Tab Closes Last Window" which I would select and others might leave blank.

I remember when netscape had the same behavior, but it was with separate windows. I guess it was considered a feature that you couldn't kill netscape with Ctrl-w, but systems are so much faster now and Konqueror so much smaller than netscape that starting a new one is no trouble at all.

Thanks for listening,

Michael
