I agree,the device tab should go into connection setup dialogue. As to the modem tab, I think in most cases having additional init string under connection setup is fine. As an immediate solution it would be nice if KPPP could regognize the Modem= line in the [Account] section, that is, in kppprc one could say [Account0] .... Modem="Modem0" .... [Account1] .... Modem="Modem1" ..... [Modem] .... [Modem0] ...... [Modem1] with [Modem] section reserved for default modem when no Modem line is present in the [Account] section. As to the GUI, I trust Harri Porten to know better. KDE project does an excellent job on GUI standards. I'd like to thank the KDE team here once again! This project is unfortunately no longer maintained. If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here: https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/kppp You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.
