Go to following url and X starts eating all cpu power. Page is still functional but very sluggish.

Agreed. Either this bug was fixed or it was never a KDE bug.

It's not fixed, I've 2 days old CVS HEAD build and bug is still there.

mine is 1 day old ;) 
...ok, does it still happen without images? without JS? 
if it goes away without images, which image does result this?

It's a kjs bug. Debian unstable version (3.1.2) is sluggish too.
