I have tested this now in another computer, this one with Kubuntu 25.10, so I think it's probable safe to say that anyone can reproduce the bug (unless it's specifically related to Intel graphics, the only thing in common between both computers): Operating System: Kubuntu 25.10 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.17.0-7-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: IntelĀ® HD Graphics 4000 Created attachment 187254 [details]
Video capture of the bug
In this video you can see the bug in action. I have 3 windows in different virtual desktops, and jump between them through the Present Windows effect.
Once I click on a Window, the windows in other virtual desktops should fade, as they've always done before Plasma 6.5. But now, as you can see in the video, they are clearly (i.e. not fading) shown for half a second, then disappear abruptly.
This is obviously not a critical bug, but it brings sloppiness to an action that I perform hundreds of times a day, which had always been beautiful and crisp.
