Hello, what default application for email do you have set in the system settings? @MathieuM: Could this be due to a KDE/Plasma package that I removed? I'm currently removing packages I deem unnecessary to better suit my needs. I'm unfortunately not a dev so I can't tell you which package to have for sure. After some research, the service menus depend on kio-extras. On my system, I have kio-extras-25.08.2-2.fc43.x86_64 but it doesn't work. so it is a bug/regression.... Since this is a minor issue, I'll wait for the next Plasma updates before considering creating a .desktop folder in ~/.local/share/kio/servicemenus i've reinstalled my system and the bug is gone. can close it. |
Created attachment 186568 [details] sendviamail_record SUMMARY When using the "Share -> send via email context menu in Dolphin, the action fails. see the screen record STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. in dolphin select a file and right clicks 2. share -> send via email OBSERVED RESULT Before the latest version of Plasma, my Thunderbird email client would launch with the file as an attachment. EXPECTED RESULT regain the ability to send a file to my email client via Dolphin SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 43 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0 Kernel Version: 6.17.7-300.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
