SUMMARY

When cutting and then pasting a file for the first time (in order to move the file elsewhere), I'm receiving "could not rename file" error on the first paste attempt, even though there are adequate permissions to move the file

pasting again straight away performs the action normally

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. select a file
2. ctrl + x to cut
3. browse to a different folder
4. ctrl + v to paste (move) the file

OBSERVED RESULT
an error is shown "could not rename file"

EXPECTED RESULT
file is moved without error on the first attempt

Is the location you're moving it to on a FUSE mount of any kind? If so, this is Bug 510810.

Mounted media at /media/USER folder counts as FUSE? Because I just have my drives mounted directly from dolphin and auto mount them on boot.

Thanks. It's not FUSE-mounted, but it's a mount, so it still hits Bug 510810.
