*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 15329 *** (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #1) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 15329 *** This problem is not lik in the oher theme. I'm using KDE for more than 13 years and yesterday the problem appeared for the first time. It's a result of an update. It's not some 25 year old bug. It's a regression. I hae a bakup which is a month old. I restored my system from it and here's not a problem at all. I ugraded and it appeared again. It's from some recent update. And I'm on X11, not Wayland. And one more thing - I'm don't using activities at all. I there's no need to restart, the problem is always there - no restart or logout ar needed. You probably changed the placement of new windows to always open in the upper left corner. Window Managment > Window Behavior > Advanced Window placement: (In reply to David Redondo from comment #4) > You probably changed the placement of new windows to always open in the > upper left corner. > > Window Managment > Window Behavior > Advanced > > Window placement: Nope, I didn't change anything: https://i.imgur.com/OEgLV6d.png But you're right, it's a completely different bug. It seems this setting isn't working anymore and it's being ignored. I'll edit the bug's title. Thank you! IIRC this is a Qt 6.10 on X11 bug. Am I recalling that correctly, Nico? uh, not that I'm aware of (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #7) > IIRC this is a Qt 6.10 on X11 bug. Am I recalling that correctly, Nico? I think you're right for it appeared this days and Qt 6.10 was released recently. I tried to downgrade Qt to 9.x.x but KDE won't start after a reboot. If you can tell me which packages I have to downgrade along with Qt so I can boot after that, I'm ready to try. Some additional info - I just realized none of the 5 options (Minimal Overlapping, Maximized, Random, Centered, In Top-Left Corner and Under mouse) are working and are ignored completely. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 507507 *** |
