SUMMARY
Using k3b to rip dvd is impossible as it relies upon transcode. 
Since transcode is ummaintained will there be an update to k3b?
Work arounds with other methods or libs?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install k3b
2. try to rip dvd
3. Get error
