Works for me in a normal session as well as on the lock screen. Are you saying it doesn't work on the login screen? It's happening on the lock screen. The login screen doesn't even show the volume going down or up. I can't reproduce either of those issues. On both the lock and login screens, the volume feedback OSD appears, and responds to the Volume Up or Volume Down keys being held down. Does the issue reproduce in a new clean user account on the same system? Does it reproduce in the live session of a distro that has a GUI session (i.e. not Arch)? Created attachment 185060 [details]
Issue on Plasma 6.4.5
I can reproduce with a completely new user account. What distro would you prefer? This is very strange. I wonder if it's related to the key repeat changes in Plasma 6.5. Can you test with the Plasma 6.5 beta, or git master? Arch has repos that offer this, if I recall. I guess I will have to wait for 6.5 or an iso with 6.5 since I don't have an extra drive to install Arch. Unless there's a way of reverting to 6.4 , but from what I've tried in the past the Terminal just says the beta is more recent. I recommend adding "a reversible way of testing beta fixes/features" to the list of future KDE plans, it would help reporters a lot. Fixed in 6.5.0 |
