Locking modifiers seems unnecessarily complicated and out of scope. Supporting key rebinding so the number lock key doesn't perform a number lock is something we should support. Generic key remapping is doable manually with xkbmaps, we should provide a GUI for it, there's open tickets for that. > Supporting key rebinding so the number lock key doesn't perform a number lock is something we should support
And that's exactly what I want, but with a way to define the default state. So it can be set to on or off on boot and after that NumLock will just send NumLock signal that can be used for hotkeys but won't touch NumLock state
