I use KDE Plasma Neon everyday, today after the 1 GB new system update file my laptop (Huawei MateBook X Pro) gave a "purple" kernel panic screen, after reboots the purple screen keeps teturning: error: "VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0)"

Hi .  This sounds like your kernel didn't upgrade properly.  The error
means grub can't find the root partition and the initramfs of your kernel
needs to be regenerated.  The following guide is a good example of how to
solve this problem -

this is a kernel upgrade issue from upstream ubuntu
